From the Downdog Naturalists...

Picture
We love the relaxing tunes Mom plays while attempting her practice at home.  Some of our favs include all of the OM chanting & Daphne Tse.  Oddly the music can even relax us pugs, especially my wild man three year old brother Normie.  At almost 11 years old, I am usually in my own zen state, but Norman needs a little extra assistance to reach his state of peaceful bliss.
- Bruce, master pug and mom's bff (shhh...don't tell Norman)

ps- I am the handsome, adorable & stately pug on the right- the one with the sweet brown eyes.  The pug with the superhero glowing eyes is my bro, Norman. (yeah- mom now calls him "Norman the Great." this occurred after reading an article about how dogs can understand positive vs negative words.  She figured "Naughty Norman" no longer properly served his little puggie soul. Nonetheless, I am not yet convinced...

(Author's Note:  Bruce was diagnosed with an aggressive, malignant inoperable form of cancer at the beginning of the summer and passed on 9.3.11.  You are missed dearly and loved forever little man.)

To the Downdog Realists...

"the variety of music was terrific, not just the pan flutes and Indian chant typically heard in a typical yoga class. jodi
create a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.  i felt empowered to move into more difficult expressions of poses when i felt strong but also free to stay in the more basic pose if i wasn't feeling strong that day."
-tara

"yoga with jodi is my weekly treat to myself.  jodi adds a personal touch to yoga that is one of a kind.  she adapts each session to our needs and wants.  each session is filled with a variety of poses that flow with ease.  jodi makes everyone feel so special during our hour long session.  i have seen changes to my body and mind that I fully attribute to yoga with jodi!"
-julie

"jodi is the best! regardless of your yoga experience or level of flexibility jodi makes you feel comfortable in the class and feel great about your accomplishments."
-elizabeth

"never taking a yoga class, i was a little hesitant to take that first step into the world of yoga, but jodi’s class was a wonderful experience.  jodi’s inviting warmth and teachings really put me at ease.  i now love yoga and love taking classes with jodi for she teaches me positions that are within my means while creating an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation. i would recommend jodi’s class for any level."
-carter

"while i was a little skeptical when a friend asked me to participate in private yoga lessons, jodi’s yoga classes are now the highlight of my week.  the positive effects her classes have had on my health and state of mind are amazing.  equally amazing is the attention and compassion she shows her students.  to say jodi is the best is to undersell her."
-andy

"i was so nervous as a first time yogi.  jodi made me feel like yoga was something my body was equipped to do.  her smile, her joy of yoga and her utter joy of life made me feel so accomplished.  when a session is over you feel complete, calm and happy.  you can not ask for more than that."  -barbara

"jodi was my first ever yoga instructor and was amazing at both setting a great mood in the space (she made me feel so relaxed amongst all the experts) and assisting me with getting into the poses correctly. because of her wonderful introduction, i still practice today."
-phil

"jodi is a wonderful teacher. she really makes everyone feel comfortable - whether you're a beginner or a long time practicer of yoga. jodi is great at explaining what we are doing, and definitely makes you want to keep practicing!"
-nancy

"jodi is a gifted teacher.  she made a program for my grandaughter.  it was an amazing journey using yoga positions and props about travel. allie felt so special and so good about herself.  i think that is what yoga is all about.  thanks jodi!"

"jodi brought my daughter a love for yoga, something i have not yet been able to do. this she did while teaching my daughter lasting, proper yoga poses and skills. this was no small task, as my daughter has special needs. never did jodi make her or I feel that my daughter's struggles were a problem. on the contrary, she sensitively, sweetly accommodated my daughter's specifications, never leaving her feel like she was "different." she was even so kind to communicate with me several times after hours, putting her head together with mine so that my daughter would have a successful, enjoyable yoga class experience."
